Winton Way Out West Fest To Awaken The Jolly Swagman Once More

After a devastating fire ripped through the Waltzing Matilda Centre in Winton in 2015 Australia was rocked and many wondered if it could emerge once more. Well it will not only emerge but it will be back with the biggest musical bang that would excite the “Jolly Swagman” himself as international music artists make their way to Winton April 19 – 22 to open the new $23 million dollar rebuilt Waltzing Matilda Centre with the Winton Way Out West Fest.

Great Line-up of Stars for Winton Way Out West Fest

Over four huge days more than 7000 people will celebrate with a huge lineup of country, pop, rock and blues artists including;

Other events during the Winton Way Out West Fest include a country race meeting, live entertainment in many venues across the town, markets and more, Winton will come alive with country hospitality, creating not just an amazing music festival, but a complete outback experience like no other.

Winton is a leader in sustainable outback events and the Matilda Centre was one of the best attractions in Queensland’s outback so it will be no surprise to see the centre and its exhibitions emerge bigger and better.

If you are travelling to Winton via Cunnamulla make sure you plan to stay a couple of days. There are some great attractions including a Cunnamulla Town & Industry Tour that runs at 8am daily for 2.5 hours. The tour gives you a great insight into the history of the town and also the industry that has come and gone over the years. The tour is operated by fourth generation locals of Out The Back Australia Tours.
